My Humorous Argument

My humorous argument is about the Bush Doctrine. It's obviously exaggerated but the point of the cartoon is to point out how many different other countries the U.S. could have "legitimately" invaded under the Bush Doctrine.

Author's Note: Does the cartoon make sense right away? I tried to use the least amount of words as possible and hope that the picture tells most of the story. Is it all funny or humorous?

I think this makes perfect sense and I got it immediately. The only thing I didn't get was does this have to do with the election? Is anti-bush = Pro-Obama? I feel like your for Obama so maybe tie McCain in.

Your cartoon is very clear and very good. I think most people (excluding Palin) know what the Bush Doctrine is and would immediately understand. As a political science major, I definitely appreciated this humour argument.

Your cartoon was very good, I really liked how you had the map and everything, it totally made sense. Also, the picture of Bush was perfect here, really added to your argument. Great job.

I really liked this cartoon. Your point was very clear and effective. My only suggestion would be if you could actually draw it and show Bush having just thrown the dart. That could make it more effective. Great job!

I think that your arguement losses some people who do not know bush's doctrine. funny when you do. I think it is outdated tho since his term is almost over.

David, this is really funny! It is perfectly clear what your point is and the reader will not have to read too much into it to get the point.

Your cartoon made perfect since and did a very good job at showing how ignorant Bush is. The speech bubble added a perfect amount of humor to your cartoon and made it funny. Good job!

I loved the picture you grabbed of George. That smile is hilarious, and it fits with what your argument is about. I cant say add or take out anything because i think it is very near perfect. Great work!

I understand what your point is, but I think you know that there was a LOT more decision going into Iraq. We had reports supposedly, and I would say it wasn't always Bush's decision since he has advisors, but anyway, how is this tied into the election? Maybe include others telling him to go in. It's a good choice of a picture of Bush.

The only humorous argument about the current president. Very daring, and a good job. If you wanted to make it seem more random, make the "dangerous countries" a dart board.

This cartoon was very effective. I liked the idea and thought with it being from the computer made it very clear. It made me laugh and think. It got the point across. Not very many suggestions except making the title bigger!

I think your humorous argument is creative and effective. Your point was clear and well presented. If people understand the Bush doctrine it makes it funnier. Nice job!

First of all, Bush looks hilarious in that picture, it was perfect. Very very clever and it was refreshing from everyone else's all about McCain/Palin and Obama.Even if you didnt know what the Bush doctrine was, you could still grasp the humor in your argument. Great job
